Before you set any January goals

Hi there!

As we head into January, I want to name something I see every single year in practice.

Not a lack of motivation.

Not people “falling off.”

Not failure.

What I see instead is physiology catching up after a month that quietly disrupts blood sugar, digestion, sleep, inflammation, and nervous system regulation.

And then January arrives… and women blame themselves.

If you’re feeling more tired than energized, more foggy than focused, or more reactive than motivated then that’s not a character flaw. It’s a biological response to rhythm disruption.

This is why I don’t approach January with extremes.

No detoxes.

No punishment.

No all-or-nothing thinking.

What actually helps the body reset is structure, predictability, simple meals, and a sense of safety. This is especially for women in midlife or anyone already carrying a lot.

I’ve been putting together something gentle and practical that reflects this approach. I’ll share more soon, but for now, I just want you to hear this:

You don’t need to “try harder” in January.

You need a plan that works with your physiology.
